What accessories to wear with a Blue Suit.

A blue suit provides a perfect canvas for you to work with.

This is your guide to the perfect accessories to wear with a blue suit, we will go over the shirt first, then the perfect tie, moving to the pocket square and finally the shoes that fit perfectly on a blue suit.

We’ll be looking at the best way of mixing things up to ensure you have the best look, whether you want to go out looking subtle, standing out or to look on point, then you have come to the right place!

So let’s get started.....

The Shirt for the blue suit.

We have three areas to provide different options that work well. The three areas are the subtle effect, stand out effect and the on point look.

Let’s explore the colours that we feel that work for each area.

  1. The Subtle Effect: For the occasion when you want to look outstanding, however, do not want to outshine everyone else, such as a wedding, the shirt we would suggest you go for is a light blue shirt, it goes really well on a blue suit and would provide a subtle touch on a blue suit.
  2. The Stand Out Effect:  For the occasion when you want to stand out and get noticed, then we would suggest a white shirt, it goes great with a blue suit and helps the blue stand out nicely. You will be noticed.
  3. The On Point Effect:  When your look is perfect; it is of course on point! So when you don’t want to stand out however want to have that cutting edge then we would suggest a brown shirt on a blue suit, doesn’t sound like a match, however once you have tried a brown shirt on a blue suit, you will see what we mean.

The Tie for the blue suit.

For the ties, we would suggest a white shirt on the blue suit with a tie, as you can’t go wrong, however if there is a shirt you have in mind, try it out first or get in contact and we are more than happy to look into it for you, we want you to look good!

Let’s explore the colours that we feel that work for each area.

  1. The Subtle Effect: When you want to look good and get noticed without taking the lime light, then we have two tie colours that work great with a blue suit. The first one we have in mind is grey tie; it looks fab and gives a subtle look. The second option is a blue tie. Blue on blue looks great and allows you to look great without standing out.
  2. The Stand Out Effect: Okay, so we have two tie colours that will help you to stand out. The first one is an orange tie. It looks perfect on a blue suit and gives that enhanced look. The second tie that works perfectly is a red tie on a blue suit. It goes really well together.
  3. The On Point Effect:  For the on point look, we have the perfect tie that goes really well. It is a brown tie and white shirt on a blue suit. It gives a great look and shows elegance without fail.

The Shoes to go with a Blue Suit.

The shoes are a vital aspect to ensure your look is perfect, you could have a great suit, tie and shirt however if the shoes do not match, it could affect your whole look.

Let’s explore the colours that we feel that work for each area.

  1. The Subtle Effect: For a subtle look, we would suggest a pair black shoes. Please do ensure they match the colour of your suit, however a black pair of shoes would provide a subtle and elegant look.
  2. The Stand Out Effect: For the stand out look, we suggest pair of light brown shoes, an oak colour. These will go really well on a blue suit, however again, please check them against your suit to ensure they match perfectly. These will help you stand out and help you get noticed.
  3. The On Point Effect:  For the on point look, we suggest a pair of dark brown shoes. They go really well on a blue suit and can give you a look that ensures you have the perfect look when wearing a blue suit.

The Pocket Square that goes with a Blue Suit.

A pocket square can automatically transform a look and get you noticed, so many times we see an amazing suit, great shirt and the perfect tie... however no pocket square to give the suit that something extra to turn heads. We have a number of pocket squares that can provide the perfect look.

Let’s explore the colours that we feel that work for each area.

  1. The Subtle Effect: Here we have two pocket squares that work great. The first one is a brown pocket square, not too loud, however provides a great look on a suit or blazer. The second option is a grey pocket square, try to avoid a glossy grey and try a soft grey on a blue suit, it will go really well.
  2. The Stand Out Effect: To be noticed, we also have two pocket squares to give that stand out look. The first pocket square we would suggest is a red pocket square, it will provide your suit or jacket that something extra to ensure you stand out. The second pocket square we suggest is an orange pocket square. It will give you a great look and definitely help you to standout.
  3. The On Point Effect:  For the on point look we have two pocket squares. The first pocket square is one of our favourites. This is a white pocket square; on a blue suit. It looks quite perfect and gives you a perfect look. The second pocket square we would suggest is a pink pocket square, it looks great on a blue suit and will give you that on point look.
